A group of young men in the early 1970s, against all the odds, managed to build a drag strip on the outskirts of Hastings, near Roy's Hill, on State Highway 50. Legends would be created on what became known as the best drag strip in the Southern Hemisphere.

Legends, and legendary moments were created on the quarter mile asphalt strip over the 21 years of its existence. Follow in this richly illustrated book, the drivers, the personalities, the triumphs and tragedies of this gone, but not forgotten drag strip.

This comes with a black branded tshirt and a mug. These copies are limited edition and numbered 1 to500. Number one has been pre-sold for $750 at a charity auction in May. Only the numbered edition will have its hard cover embossed with the book’s title, and come with an exclusive 50th anniversary bookmark. It sold on a strictly first come basis, and only through this website. Individual numbers can be accommodated, where possible, but numbers 1, 2, 339 and 500 have gone. The book is hardcover, with dust jacket, colour throughout, and will be around 256 pages.
